Great end to a busy season for our horses

The heritage horses have attended three ploughing matches in the past two weeks and had very good results. We used Suffolk Punches ‘Charlie’ and ‘Gaybriel’ on our plough. The first event was the Eastern Counties Heavy Horse Association ploughing championships, where we got 1st in best turned out plough team, best assisted plough team and best overall ploughed work. Then we were at Good Easter, Essex, for a ploughing demonstration. On Sunday the 5th October we were at the Suffolk Horse Ploughing Championship at Bucklesham, Ipswich, where again we won the overall champion ploughing team. This is a great end to a busy season, and also nice that the ploughing was won by Harry our volunteer, assisted by Kenny our other volunteer. Well done lads and a big thankyou for all your help. Also thanks and well done to Ela and James for all your hard work at home. The harness and horses are a credit to you all.
